| Friends of the Jacksboro Animal Shelter has renewed its partnership with PETS (Prevent Euthanasia Through Sterilization) Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic in Wichita Falls. The next ?urban pick-up and delivery? day is Wednesday, June 10, next to Garlic?s on North Main St. The animals will be picked up in the morning and returned later that afternoon. P.E.T.S Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic offers discounted fees or fee waivers for qualified pet owners as funds are available. Pet owners must be able to present picture identification and proof of some form of government assistance. Examples include CHIP, WIC, Medicare, Medicaid and Public Housing. Fees may also be waivered for large breed dogs. There is, however, a $5 transfer fee. Proof of rabies vaccination (certificate from the veterinarian, not tags) must be provided. If your animal is not up-to-date, PETS will administer the vaccination for an addition $4. Transport is limited to 5 female dogs and 5 male dogs. Age limit for large dogs is 6 years, 8 years for small dogs. No dogs over 80 pounds will be allowed.
