Concerned Citizens-Something for everyone on April 2nd!

Date: April 2, 2014 Time: 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Event Description April 2nd will be a day with something for everyone at Concerned Citizens! The menu for the day will be a wonderful Pork chop dinner. The North Texas Food bank will be here from 10-2 with a fruit and vegetable truck. For several years we have worked with them to give fresh produce to the frail elderly but, now the program has grown since Jack County has now been declared a fruit and vegetable deprived region. Anyone, regardless of age, who lives in Jack County may get a 10-15 lb sack of fresh produce. The Produce Express will be in the parking lot at 400 East Pine Street. We will pre-sign our meals on wheels clients in order to make sure they are all taken care of. This will take place every first Wednesday. Nortex Regional Planning Commission will be here at 11:30 to update everyone on Medicare changes and answer any questions. The Concerned Citizens? Community Garden group will be meeting at 9:30. For those interested in making their own rain barrel. You may come and watch or for $40.00 you can make your own to take home. If you want to make your own please call the center at 5676-2607 or Kristi Holman at 567-6633 to pre-register so supplies can be bought.
